3D Scanning Cost + 3D Modeling Cost = Total Service Cost

– 3D Scanning Cost: Consultation based on product quantity and difficulty

– 3D modeling Cost: Consultation based on engineer working time, difficulty level

※ Actual service fee can be received after requesting information of requested product.

– 3D Scan is available in various products such as household goods, industrial products, machinery equipment.

Sometimes, however, a product that does not allow 3D scanning occurs.

– Products that are difficult to scan

Ex) Glassware, products with high gloss, etc that the scanner does not recognize

However, products that the scanner does not recognize will scan using dedicated sprays and markers, but if this is not possible, scanning will not be possible.

– The location of 3D Scan differs depending on the product you are requesting.

1) Products that can be shipped are delivered to our company and carried out in the place where our 3D Scan equipment is installed,

2) For products that can not be shipped, our staff will visit business trips and conduct 3D scanning.

※ When you visit a business trip, you need to prepare a place where 3D scanning is possible.

(Outdoor direct sunlight exposure can be scanned only when the sunlight is properly blocked by a tent, etc.)

– Whether or not the product is shipped will be determined by consulting with the customer for any damage to the product during shipment.

– When shipping the product, the shipping cost must be paid by prepayment.

– Travel expenses are charged at the actual cost separately from the service cost.

– When you request 3D Scanus service, the more information you have about the product, the faster the feedback and consulting is possible.

Required data formats
In the basic OBJ format (OBJ, PLY, STL, FBX, Collada)

Color (whether the shape is center only or color is required)

• When you perform a scan-only operation, the default extension is OBJ + MTL, and possible files are STL and PLY.
  Files created after post processing can be provided as FBX or 3D MAX upon request.

  (Depending on the complexity of the object being scanned and post-processing difficulty, additional costs may be incurred.)

  If you request the reverse design process, you will be converted to the NUBS method which is the basis of the CAD file. The default extension is STEP, and the file that can be added is IGES.

• The 3D scan service is based on providing the machining data for the 3D shape and texture,
  Unique size information of the object itself is scanned in 3D to provide 3D model data.
  You can use 3D CAD data (3D MAX, CATIA, Maya) and 3D Viewer to measure the dimensions of the object parts by yourself.
  The production of CAD drawings for reverse engineering is done through a separate reverse engineering task, which may take some time and cost. If you recognize this and request it, you will proceed. Please refer to the support file format of this FAQ for possible file formats.

• 3D Scanus consists of 3D Scan + 3D Modeling + Web / Mobile View (Embed Viewer) service.
  3D Scan and Modeling If you want to use the 3D model that you finally received after the work on Web and Mobile, you can join the WWW.3dcrafts.net for additional services.
  You can choose a monthly service plan depending on the quantity and purpose of the product.
  You can freely utilize the Viewer provided after you join.
